Daily goal and focus nudges
Three small settings that help you notice where the day went. All optional, all off by default except where your industry presets one.
Daily goal
Settings → Tracking → daily goal in hours. Set it and the Today screen shows progress against it. Useful when you bill in blocks and want to know by mid afternoon whether the day is already full.
Set it to zero to turn it off. Some industries arrive with a goal already set, because it matches how that work is sold.
A nudge if nothing is tracked
Give it a time of day, say 10:30, and owntime mentions once if no time has been tracked by then. It is a reminder that the timer is not running, not a scolding.
Pomodoro nudge
Set an interval and owntime taps you on the shoulder at that rhythm while a timer runs. Set it to zero for silence. It does not block apps, lock your screen or count your failures, because that is a different kind of product.
How these differ from budgets
A daily goal is about you and your day. A budget is about a client and their project, and it never appears on an invoice. Keeping the two apart is deliberate.
