Log time by hand
The timer is a convenience, not a gatekeeper. Plenty of weeks get reconstructed on Friday afternoon, and owntime expects that.
Adding an entry
Time Entries → add a row: project, date, hours, and a note if you want one. You can also fill the whole week from the Timesheet screen instead of one row at a time.
Two settings that keep it honest
- Require a note on manual entries. Turns on a reminder to say what the time was. Timed entries are unaffected, since the clock already said when.
- Lock entries older than a number of days. Once a period has been invoiced or reported, this stops you editing it by accident.
Fixing a mistake
Any cell in the Timesheet is editable directly. For deletions, every destructive action offers an Undo in the toast, and ⌘Z repeats the last one. Undone deletions are recorded in the activity log too, so history reads honestly.
Rather not type it at all?
Import a CSV from your old tracker instead. You get a dry run preview, and exact duplicates are skipped, so importing the same file twice is safe.
